Feed Sack Quilt Doll

Feed Sack Quilt Doll

$30.00
Farmers picked up colorful seed sacks during the 1930's and 40's which were then 'repurposed' into clothing, and then into quilts. Some of the sacks even came with patterns and directions printed directly on the fabric. We came across some scraps of a quilt top that was never completed and have made some charming dolls from the carefully hand-quilted piecework, reminding us of simpler times. All dolls are unique and have a bit of a different color theme. It's always fun to see the choices the original quilter made in placing her patterned pieces together. These designs are a limited edition. Props used in photos not included.
