Heritage Folk in the News!

Thanks to Katherine Lacaze from Astoria's Coast Weekend publication for a chance to tell our story! You will find out WHY we make our dolls. We had such a fun time showing her our little peg people and sharing about how Heritage Folk evolved over the course of the Pandemic. Read the full article here.

On this last day of August, fall is creeping into the air. I just can't quite let go of summer yet, though, and so, I share with you our Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn design from Things Kids Can Make. I've paired the design with a quote from the book. I kind of like the idea of star gazing, but perhaps if you find yourself navigating down the Mississippi River, nighttime might present a challenge. We love pulling inspiration from classic literature as we create our little people. Make this as a centerpiece with a copy of Tom Sayer for a backyard picnic or birthday party. Invite your guests to dress appropriately for an outdoor adventure and serve hobo-style lunches wrapped in bandanas, tied to a stick. Or, glue these two boys on a "Gone Fishin'" sign for a summer cabin decoration.

Enjoy the last days of summer!
